CBT follows sustainable, equitable business practices.
First, we do not only measure our performance by the financial bottom line. Although this is one important metric, our carbon footprint, the health, and wellbeing of our team, associates, and customers are just as important. These need to be measured and tracked in a similar way to how we track our finances.
Business decisions are made with a win-win result in mind. This is really the only way to succeed in the long term. Solutions to problems need to include the interests of all shareholders and while it sometimes can be challenging to make everyone happy in every instance we continue to strive for that goal.
CBT will stand behind any and all of its products and will help solve any issues arising with use of our partners’ and suppliers’ products.
It is the opinion of CBT management that a corporation should contribute to the community and should become an agent for positive change whenever the opportunity presents itself.
We are fortunate to promote a material that by default provides safe, responsible, and durable products to our customers. It is our intention to assist others in bringing good quality magnesium oxide products to the market and we will do this by supporting the Magnesium Oxide Association of Canada (MOCA).
We further pledge the following:
Our advertising and technical bulletins will be accurate.
Our pricing will be fair and reasonable.
Our ethics and morals will be of the highest order.
In no instance will decisions be made for the betterment of CBT at a detrimental cost to the environment, the community, and people. Profit at all cost is not the highest and best priority.
CBT is interested in learning better ways of doing business and we invite suggestions as we develop this business model. It is not one easily found in books or by taking standard courses and is by design something of an experiment, an experiment that needs to be done.
Our Business Model: CBT has developed a business model that utilizes existing resources wherever possible. We have partnered with top of the line suppliers and production facilities to bring the best quality products at the lowest price by keeping our overheads lean and efficient. This reduces our carbon footprint and brings additional work to established operations, bolstering their businesses without the need for duplication of efforts. Valley Industries is one main partner providing machining and coating services, Signal Warehousing is another providing warehousing and shipping services.
Our Mission: To evolve the way construction is practiced by introducing MgO based materials with demonstrable benefits to the environment, the buildings, and the people who build, operate, and live in them.
Our Vision: Mago will become the generic name for MgO boards. CBT will be known as a responsible company providing sound alternatives to current building materials that present environmental and health hazards. CBT will manufacture boards domestically using locally sourced raw materials. CBT will run an ethical and responsible business that will give back to the communities where we operate.
