These boards are made in one factory in Guangzhou that is certified to UL, UL-C. This requires ongoing site audits with a minimum of 4 inspections per year. Other Chinese boards will have varying local testing which is not generally up to North American standards. MagO is rated for non-combustible construction and has passed more than 36 different ASTM, UL, and other tests to ensure its reliable performance in a wide range of construction uses. MagO can be used as a superior replacement for all gypsum and fiber-cement products for interior and exterior uses. Most recently, MagO boards have been used to make an integral rain-screen commercial grade cladding system, the aptly named MagO Cladding System.
